could you be a breastmilk donor?

If you are interested in becoming a breastmilk donor please contact us by e-mail:

info@preciousdropscampaign.com  or phone the infant-feeding specialist midwife on 0117 3233527

The Milk Bank will need to know that you are generally in good health and that your baby is under six
months. We will ask you some questions about your health and Lifestyle. We will ask you:

● Have you received a blood transfusion since 1980?
● Do you smoke or misuse substances?
● Do you routinely drink more than two units of alcohol per day?
● Have you ever tested positive for HIV 1 or 2 , Hepatitis B or C, HTLV 1 or 2 or Syphilis?

If you answer yes to any of these questions then you will be unable to donate your milk to the Milk Bank.

We will ask you to come into the Milk Bank for some blood tests and to answer some questions about
your  lifestyle. We will discuss with you how to express milk and freeze it.

You don’t need to be expressing large amounts of milk in order to be a breastmilk donor.

“Every drop is precious”.
